Tom Shannon is a Urologist in Perth, Western Australia with a special interest in prostate cancer and minimally invasive surgery. Tom Shannon has been in practice as a Urologist since 2000 and has been a pioneer of Laparoscopic Urology in Australia, bringing minimally invasive techniques to many procedures; from kidney to bladder and prostate surgery. He is one of a few urologists in Australia to offer a comprehensive prostate cancer service with prostate biopsy, minimally invasive surgery (over 450 cases experience in Laparoscopic and Robotic prostatectomy) and prostate brachytherapy (both low dose seed brachytherapy and high dose rate brachytherapy). He is active in research and education and is a board member of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and member of The Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand and Endourology Society.
